Questions before you sign
- Which numbers did we read?
- What did we decide, and who owns each action?
- Which last action is still open?
The practice, in our words
Hold a regular business review that reads the objectives, the capacity, the project health and the customer position, and record the decisions. The review is the place where the business management process becomes real.
What it means in a VSE
Monthly is enough for most firms of this size. Thirty minutes, four numbers, three decisions. Write the decisions and the owner, not the discussion. The next review opens with the last decisions.
In a firm of 25 people or fewer, review business performance and act has to earn its time. The test for BM-05 is not whether the team understands it but whether the artefact exists at the end of the project. Shrink the meeting. Shrink the document. Keep the record.
How to evidence it
Attach the artefacts above to the Review business performance and act row with the project name, the owner and the date. The anchor for BM-05 is A dated review note with the numbers and the decisions. A named person must produce it on request.
For BM-05, the reviewer will sample one live decision and ask for The action list with owners and due dates. No artefact, no evidence. A file that depends on one person's mailbox is not a file for review business performance and act.
What an assessor samples
An assessor reads the review business performance and act practice, asks for its evidence and tests one project against it. For BM-05, the useful sample is the most recent project that used the practice, not the best one. A reconstruction written for the visit is a finding for BM-05 if the practice cannot be shown to have happened when it mattered.
Common gaps
- A review that reads the numbers and decides nothing
- No review in a quarter with no note that it was skipped
Where the draft fits
The public abstract places review business performance and act inside one of the four processes the Intermediate profile covers. For BM-05, the draft clause numbering and wording are not public, so this page cites Public abstract, process list and does not quote the draft. The basis label for BM-05 says whether the practice is stated in the public record, named as a process in the series, or our reading.
