Questions before you sign

  • Which templates change?
  • Which version is current today?
  • When do the live projects move to it?

The practice, in our words

Update the templates and the work product list to the Intermediate profile, with a version and a date, and retire the versions that no longer apply. A template that still asks for the old fields produces files that fail the new check.

What it means in a VSE

Change the templates once, centrally, and tell the projects which version is current. Put the version in the footer so an assessor can see which one produced the file. Keep the old version until the live projects close.

In a firm of 25 people or fewer, re-baseline work products and templates has to earn its time. The test for TR-03 is not whether the team understands it but whether the artefact exists at the end of the project. Shrink the meeting. Shrink the document. Keep the record.

How to evidence it

Attach the artefacts above to the Re-baseline work products and templates row with the project name, the owner and the date. The anchor for TR-03 is The updated templates with version and date. A named person must produce it on request.

For TR-03, the reviewer will sample one live decision and ask for The work product list for the Intermediate profile. No artefact, no evidence. A file that depends on one person's mailbox is not a file for re-baseline work products and templates.

What an assessor samples

An assessor reads the re-baseline work products and templates practice, asks for its evidence and tests one project against it. For TR-03, the useful sample is the most recent project that used the practice, not the best one. A reconstruction written for the visit is a finding for TR-03 if the practice cannot be shown to have happened when it mattered.

Common gaps

  • Each project editing its own copy of the template
  • Old and new versions both in use with no marker
What changes from the 2019 report. For TR-03, the draft replaces a Technical Report. The transition work is to compare, re-baseline, retrain and keep the review trigger alive, whether or not the published text changes a particular sentence.

Where the draft fits

The public abstract places re-baseline work products and templates inside one of the four processes the Intermediate profile covers. For TR-03, the draft clause numbering and wording are not public, so this page cites Public abstract, process list and does not quote the draft. The basis label for TR-03 says whether the practice is stated in the public record, named as a process in the series, or our reading.
